Future leaders engaged in a meaningful conversation with Dr. Hyginus Leon, President of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB). Organized by the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College, the forum took place on Friday, August 30th 2021, during Dr. Leon's official visit to his homeland of Saint Lucia.

The Future Leaders Youth Forum ran for roughly two hours and featured a panel comprised of alumni of the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College. The panelists engaged in the discussion of key topics within areas of global and regional significance, with Dr. Hyginus Leon, the second Saint Lucian to head the CDB after founding President, Sir Arthur Lewis.

The event was streamed live via the College’s and CDB’s online platforms with a live audience of students, staff and alumni participating via Zoom meeting. The panelists include Rhyesa Joseph, Merphilus James, Tianah Foster and Yenver Caesar, all outstanding students during their time at the College who have bright futures in their respective fields.

Following the panel discussion, Dr. Leon was guided on a tour of the SALCC campus, led by Dean of Academics, Dr. Winston Phulgence. Stops included the newly established Derek Walcott Library and Innovation Hub, as well as Sir Arthur’s Grave Site.
