The Sir Arthur Lewis Community College warmly welcomed Dr. Cato Laurencin to the College campus on March 14th for a memorandum of understanding signing ceremony between the SALCC and University of Connecticut where he serves as a Professor.
A physician, surgeon, scientist, and engineer who is famous for his work in regenerative engineering, biomaterials, stem cell science, nanotechnology and drug delivery systems, Dr. Laurencin also presented copies of his autobiography to the students of the College as well as the Hunter J François Library.
The well-accomplished Saint Lucian national has received prestigious awards for his work in bio-engineering and will be recognized by the Government and people of Saint Lucia with the Saint Lucia Medal of Honor (Gold), for Independence 2022.
