Defensive Driving is an interactive, eight-hour course that is delivered 100% online and synchronously. The course is accessible to all persons who currently possess a Provisional Driver’s License.
SALCC Poets Capture Hearts at Voices of the Underground
Both students and alumni of the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College took centre stage on May 4, 2026 at the Saint Lucia Jazz's marquee poetry event, Voices of the Underground.
Among the impressive lineup of poets, the event featured the three winners of the SALCC 2026 WORRRD UP Poetry Slam competition which was held in April.
(Pictured above) Nashawn Anthony (1st place), Celandra Mathurin (2nd place) and Pearl Cornibert (3rd place) performed the winning poetry pieces, which were met with rousing rounds of applause.
It was a pleasure to see our SALCC community so strongly represented on this poetry stage, with our students and alumni showcasing not only their talent, but also the depth of creativity and expression that thrives within the College.

Also part of the programme were SALCC alumni Christa St. Ange and Shyne Savory. These exceptional ladies, who were both SALCC Valedictorians for their respective years, put on a literary masterpiece. Each with their own unique style, had the audience brimming with excitement and joy.
