About Nurse Midwifery

diploma

The Post Graduate Diploma in Nurse Midwifery is centered around family and reproductive health education, promoting a community-based approach to health care delivery.

The programme combines theoretical course work and guided clinical experience in various health care settings. Home visits are included as both a strategy and location for health care practice.

Nurse Midwifery caters to both part and full-time students, through a blended learning approach of online, face to face, and hands-on learning experiences.

Upon successful complication of this programme, graduates are posed to provide safe and effective reproductive health care to individuals, families and their wider community. Graduates are also eligible to sit national licensing examinations for entry into professional nurse-midwifery practice.
