About Early Childhood Development

certificate

The Early Childhood Development programme enables learners to attain Caribbean Vocational Qualifications (CVQ) at Level I in the area of Early Childhood Development.

The CVQ competency standards for Early Childhood Development form the backbone of learning delivery, and ensure the active involvement of learners in both classroom and workplace settings. Students are instilled with the knowledge, skills and personal qualities essential for working effectively within early childhood development settings.

The programme adheres to the philosophy of Competency-based Education and Training, evaluating students based on practical cases and demonstrations of what they have learnt.
