Defensive Driving
Defensive Driving is an interactive, eight-hour course that is delivered 100% online and synchronously. The course is accessible to all persons who currently possess a Provisional Driver’s License.
To assist students and staff in looking their best for Valentine’s Day, the SALCC Students’ Council partnered with two established barbers, Justin Mentor (Mentor the Barber) and Dyell the Barber, to provide free haircuts from 8:00am to 7:00pm on Thursday, February 12, 2026.
Five St. Lucian students earned a place on the Dean's List at Western Illinois University for the Fall 2025 semester. The undergraduate students, part of a growing cohort at the University, all earned GPA's greater than 3.6. Several of the students earned a perfect 4.0 GPA for the semester.
SALCC Computer and Information Technology Year 1 student Daniel Martin (right in photo) is attending a three-month immersion programme at the Centre de Ressources, d’Expertise et de Performance Sportive (CREPS) in Guadeloupe.
Her Excellency Nicole Y.C. Su, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan), paid a courtesy visit to Sir Arthur Lewis Community College (SALCC) on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.
During the visit, Ambassador Su met with members of the College’s senior leadership team, led by Deputy Chair of the Board Fortuna Anthony and Board member Dr. Anthony Felicien, as well as Principal Dr. Madgerie Jameson-Charles.
The visit was a meaningful opportunity to reflect on our strong and enduring partnership, and to explore future collaboration in education, technology, agriculture, and cultural exchange.

As part of her visit, Ambassador Su also had a first tour of the campus.
The Taiwanese Embassy has been an invaluable partner to the College, collaborating on several major projects including the Upskilling Academy JENNES Programme, Business Expo and the teaching of Mandarin to students.
The Ambassador indicated interest in further collaborations in Agriculture and Public Health as well as with cultural exchanges.
SALCC looks forward to continuing this fruitful relationship with Taiwan.
