Kishma Serieux

Kishma Serieux is a Saint Lucian poet, spoken-word artist, and journalist whose writing pulses with emotion, community, and purpose. Her celebrated piece, “Inspire You”, was born in the midst of collective ecstasy — an ode penned as Julien Alfred crossed the Olympic finish line, embodying national pride and unity.

Kishma's style is intimate yet universal, weaving personal insight into shared experience with lyrical spontaneity and gentle authority. As a performer, she thrives on delivering poems that live in the moment, anchored in emotional truth and delivered with presence.

Her narratives intentionally weave collective experiences into personal testimony—turning private feeling into public art.Her work embodies sincerity, elevating the ordinary to the transcendent. Her words demand to be heard, not just read—each piece thrives on her tone, rhythm, and physical presence.

She is the cofounder of Thou Art, a poetry and music group in the East of the island. Her two poetry books “Eh! Why Not?!” and “Shhh! Not So Loud” can be found on Amazon in electronic and paperback form.
