The Associate Degree in Secondary Education is catered towards persons aspiring to teach students at a secondary school level.

Practitioners of this programme develop their teaching abilities, as well as pedagogical knowledge and personal qualities.

Within the programme, students must select one specialist subject as their teaching Major, which is composed of five (5) courses. Another subject is to be selected as a Minor, and consists of three (3) courses.

There are no minors for TVET Programmes; they are available as Majors and consist of eight (8) courses.

  1. Five or more CSEC subjects (Grades I and II), two A Levels or CAPE - 2 units, or an Associate Degree in Specialist subjects.
  2. Subject department may have additional requirements.
  3. An interview is required.
