At least five (5) CSEC subjects (Grades 1 or 2; or Grade 3 from June 1998) or GCE equivalent. These five subjects should include:
- English A;
- Mathematics;
- Science
- Integrated Science, Human & Social Biology, Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Biology or Physics.
- One other academic subject.
- Iin addition, persons who do not have at least one pure Science Subject at Grades 1 or 2 will be required to register and successfully complete a Science Access course prior to registration. Interview required.
- Persons who already possess a UWI Associate Degree in Primary Education can matriculate into Year 3 of the Programme.
