Overview

This programme is a foundational degree in Biology. It introduces learners to the study of life. The programme closely relates the structure of various biological systems with their functions.

Courses touch on the foundational concepts such as cell and organismal processes as, well as where life began to the ecological interactions organisms experience.

The programme marries the theoretical concepts with practical and field experiences. One of the main aims is to produce intellectually curious and analytical individuals.

Learning Outcomes

Following completion, participants of this programme will be able to;

  • Explain the biological structures exist in various levels.
  • Discuss the interrelationships between biological organisms and systems.
  • Explain the interdisciplinary links between biology and other disciplines.
  • Think about life from the perspective of science and the scientific processes.
  • Apply the process of science through practical activities.
