Overview

The Associate Degree in Human Performance and Nutrition and Dietetics is delivered over four semesters. Comprising both theoretical and clinical courses as well as clinical practicum experience at healthcare institutions and activity based organization, the program prepares participants to utilize nutrition and activity in the promotion of health, prevention of diseases and management of existing health conditions.

Participants are assigned to the hospital environment to experience restorative nutrition care and to community wellness centers, gyms and sporting facilities for participation in rehabilitation, health promotion, and maintenance of wellness.

Entry Requirements

  1. Post-secondary school students require a minimum of five (5) CSEC passes (Mathematics and English required).
  2. SALCC graduates require Associate Degree or "A" Level qualifications in relevant disciplines.
  3. Mature students and other graduates require professional and work experience; relevant qualification as deemed appropriate by the university college.
