About Architectural Technology

The Associate Degree in Architectural Technology is aimed at enabling learners to develop knowledge and skills related to the construction industry and the built environment, as they relate to the design process. Further, students learn to show appreciation for architectural processes with emphasis on analysis, interpretation and design application.

Learning Outcomes

  • Students acquire a solid understanding of architectural principles such as design theory and spatial organisation, and apply these skills to create functional and innovative architectural solutions.
  • Students develop proficiency in using industry-standard computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant digital tools for architectural drafting, modelling, and visualisation.
  • Learners will create accurate and detailed architectural drawings, plans, and specifications that adhere to industry standards and regulations.
