Tourism Studies and Sustainability

In this programme the student learns about the overall management of tourism within the destination, with emphasis on adopting a sustainable approach to the development of the industry. Some areas of study include policy, planning, management and sustainable development. Students will be equipped to meaningfully contribute to the operations of the tourism industry by working areas such as destination management and travel.


Requirements for programme Entry:

  • Passes (Grades 1, 2; or Grade 3 from June 1998) in English A, Mathematics, French or Spanish and at least ONE of the following: Principles of Business, Principles of Accounts, Economics, Geography and Social Studies.
  • Mature Students status – a person who has reached their 21st birthday, at least three/five years’ work experience in the hospitality industry and at least three (3) CSEC matching the standard entry requirements.
