Economics Trade and Finance

This associate degree examines microeconomic variables such as the behaviour of consumers and firms, and macroeconomic variables such as inflation, economic growth, international trade and unemployment. Learners will also be introduced to financial markets and the analysis of financial statements. Emphasis is placed on the work of Caribbean theorists and issues such as economic integration and the socioeconomic problems of the region are discussed. In year one a solid foundation in Economic principles is laid down which is further developed in year two. The Associate of Arts in Economics Trade and Finance not only provides training in Economics but also exposes learners to training in Managerial Finance.

Requirements for programme Entry:

CSEC Grades I, II or III passes in English Language and Mathematics.
