Construction Engineering

The Associate Degree in Construction Engineering is aimed at equipping students with knowledge and understanding of the built environment, the construction industry and the process of design and construction.It is also designed to encourage the development of skills in the collection, selection, analysis, interpretation and application of data; communication; problem solving and evaluation.In addition, the programme addresses the needs of students who wish to pursue studies in higher education, while providing employers with technologists capable of functioning in the areas of construction and engineering.

Requirements for programme Entry:

Passes (Grade 1, 2, or Grade 3 from June 1998) in Mathematics, English A, Physics, chemistry and at least ONE of the following; Geography, Technical Drawing, Building Technology, Information Technology, Construction, Wood work, Visual Arts, Social Studies.

In addition all candidates who have not passed CSEC Chemistry and Physics would be required to register for and successfully complete an access course in the subject area prior to registration.
