Carpentry and Joinery II

The aim of the Carpentry and Joinery Part Two Programme is to provide students with the knowledge and understanding required to become competent craftsmen/women. The programme is also designed to offer students the opportunity to develop constructional techniques and skills which will make them marketable in the construction industry.

The pre-requisite for this programme is the successfully completion of the Carpentry and Joinery Foundations programme.

Programme Learning Outcomes:

On completion of this programme learners will be able to:

  1. Serve as credentials in their own right for entry into certain vocations, occupations and professions.
  2. Provide articulation and portability with other College programmes/ post-secondary programmes regionally and internationally
  3. Provide increased access to higher education.
  4. Facilitate a reasonable contribution to national and regional development.

Requirements for programme Entry:

Successful completion of Senior Primary School or mature students (over 21 years).Interview required.
