Dr. Cathy James-Springer is currently the Institutional Effectiveness Manager at the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College. She completed her PhD in Instructional Design and Technology at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) in 2016. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Science Education from Montana State University (Bozeman) and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus. She is a 2013 Fulbright Scholar.
Prior to proceeding to study she was a Lecturer in Chemistry at The Division of Arts Science and General Studies. Her interest in making Science Education more real has led to instructional design and technology. She has experience in instructional design, online facilitation and, curriculum development and her most recent role at the College has given her experiences in understanding of the parameters needed to ensure effectiveness in a higher education institution.
