Overview

The part-time Secretarial Certificate Programme is designed to prepare persons for full-time employment in the secretarial field and to enhance and further develop job related competencies for those persons presently employed.

The programme is also designed to prepare students for the changing roles of the Secretary in today’s society of evolving technologies and expanding business organization.

Ideally, students in this programme should be employed full-time in a Receptionist, Clerk/Typist, or Secretarial positions so as to satisfy the requirements concerning practical experience and the awarding of extra credits.

Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) is considered where students submit evidence of their prior learning that is relevant, recent and significant.
