Automative Engineering

The Associate Degree in Automotive Engineering is designed to provide students with a wide knowledge of Automobile Engineering and specific skills to enable them to function as technicians, or to pursue higher education qualifications in Engineering. The programme addresses studies in automobile design, development and manufacture. It sensitises students to the changing principles and processes employed in the construction and functioning of vehicles and fuel propelled engines.


Requirements for programme Entry:

The entry requirement for this programme are minimum of five (5) passes in subjects at the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC), which will included (but not restricted to) Mathematics, English A, Physics and Technical Drawing and at least one of the following: Mechanical Studies, Electricity, Chemistry, Building Technology, Information Technology, Construction and Visual Arts. These entry requirements are in keeping with the requirements of SALCC.
